Working with emerging playwrights writing in and about the city of Gloucester.
This project ran from 2013 to 2019 with ACE funding for several projects
Our first project in 2015 was ‘Only in Gloucester’ a series of plays developed at Gloucester Cathedral and performed at Gloucester Museums
Then in 2016 we created ‘Talking Objects’ a series of audio monologues inspired by objects at the Gloucester Life Museum.
In 2017 we once again had ACE funding and created our third project ‘Tapestry’ – a weaving together of all the writers work ending in a performance at Gloucester Cathedral
Our fourth project was ‘The Gloucester Citizen’ – an evening of monologues performed at the Fountain Inn in May 2018, where we raised funds towards our next big project.
In 2019 we worked towards developing skills writing monologues and creating short pieces of theatre in preparation for what we had hoped would be our biggest ever project ‘Journeys Home’ for the 2020 Gloucester History festival but that was not to be due to Covid.
We’re currently having a rethink and will hopefully be back with something amazing sometime soon
